Lately, I’ve been doing some gentle stretches to loosen up before I start working.🤸

I thought an illustration needed colored ambient light to feel atmospheric, but I realized that warm light just turns it into evening.
If you want local colors to look clean, achromatic ambient light may actually work better.
That means an overcast day or indoors.

I realized that reflected light makes the image feel more pleasing when I place it based on “This makes the silhouette easier to read” rather than “Theoretically, it should be here.”

Starting with the area you want viewers to focus on most—the area you want to render in the most detail—can help you work outward, simplifying everything else.
