We have been learning all about animals and their habitats.
We enjoyed matching different animals to places where they could possibly hibernate, thinking carefully about how these habitats help animals stay safe and warm.

We have been learning how to decompose numbers into smaller parts. We used counters to help us see how numbers can be split in different ways and worked hard to represent our number bonds visually . 🟢🟡🔴

Today we started developing our basketball skills, focusing on dribbling. The children had lots of fun practising keeping control of the ball while moving around the space. We’re looking forward to building our skills and playing some games over the coming weeks! 😊🏀

We had lots of fun playing a quick game of Phonics Bingo! We revisited our initial sounds and some of the digraphs we have previously learned. 🧠✨

We read Sophie Johnston, the Unicorn Expert and were inspired to put our STEM skills to the test! 🤩

Our challenge was to design and create our very own unicorn horns using our creativity, problem-solving skills and lots of imagination. ✨

Just a little reminder that school photos will be taken tomorrow. Please make sure your child comes to school wearing their full school uniform for their photo. They will have the opportunity to get changed for PE afterwards. 😊

This week we are learning the ‘ai’ sound! 🔤✨ L and M decided to make their very own ‘chain’ as this was one of the words we were learning. I loved seeing them bring their learning to life! 🔗😊

We had lots of fun working together to build sentences using Colourful Semantics. Some of our sentences really made us laugh! 🌈📚
