This is an important lesson for me to internalize, having a kid in college studying something without a solid path forward. Of course I worry about his future. But I know he is passionate about what he is learning. I have to trust that he will find his path. My path at his age was also uncertain.

My kid is currently going to a SUNY school. The meal plans are so expensive. I think meals in dining halls at SUNY and CUNY schools be free or at least significantly less expensive. Please do something about this @governor.ny.gov @patriciafahy46.bsky.social

There are endless studies showing this and also the financial and societal benefits of universal basic income and or housing-first policies but the U.S. never goes for any of it because it would require allowing the poor to receive benefits that the rich consider “undeserved”
