Keep in mind that a lot of stuff on that checklist can and will be explained away by "well as long as we have someone check it first, it's fine". Stress that you care about working conditions, consistency, and that you want to read work handled with respect and care by people who get paid to do so.

Localization has become such a dirty word that I wish there was a pithier way to express that it's pretty damn rich that people who justify the value of their work through their ability to ~express their vision~ are the first to shit on translators when we're doing it across languages AND cultures.
I just wish every game dev who’s against robot-made art will eventually realize localization is an art too.

May I also point out that it's not just more work, it's often absolutely MISERABLE because those who employ you no longer trust you over the low-level TL the machine craps out because they learned 抱く is "to hold" like it says completely out of context! WHY U DO JOB WELL AND CHANGE IT TO FIT SCENE???
Fun fact: "Reviewing an AI made translation" is more work for translators than just translating it themselves, because AI translations do not pass the sniff test beyond the most superficial. It's a loophole companies use as an excuse to underpay translators, and nothing else.
