Does it get harder to push past failure as you get older? There are a handful of games where I can say I pushed past the initial learning curves and got quite decent at, but now i just feel so stupid and embarrassed when I suck at learning new games. I’m also noticing this with language learning 🤦♀️

- SIL had a baby so im an auntie now
- graduating from school (was doing part time classes while working full time)
- moving out from my parents house and going to live alone

"i didn't ask to be born" is a comeback that kids think up really early in response to the "i gave you life and changed your diapers" parental entitlement gambit, and unfortunately it is a bulletproof argument. like you can't put someone in debt by providing them a service they didn't ask for.
