I don't think so - if I put a Woodstock/Lollapalooza sticker on mine it doesn't mean I went there, it's just that I think it was really neat. And afterall, isn't that what stickers are meant to convey? Things we think are neat; who we are rather than what we've done?

I remember being v. excited for Ant-Man and Doctor Strange. Such weird and difficult characters. Surely after the risks taken with phase one, these two would either crash and burn, or reach new incredible peaks. But they were just both...fine. Good maybe. And so the "marvel formula" had been set.

Before there was a "marvel movie", Iron Man drew from 80s action films, Incredible Hulk was a classic monster movie, Thor was a Shakespearean drama, and Captain America was a war movie. They were all unique and trying to do something different. But then later they all became "marvel" films

Captain Marvel was criticized by some at the time for being a cookie cutter marvel origin story movie. And Carol Danvers strangely uncharismatic for a character they were hoping would carry the next phase.

I made two key mistakes on the turn
1 - I misjudged how far up my range I was. I thought I was much higher up than reality.
2 - Did not take river playability into account.
This is obviously one of my worse ATxx hands - I need to take a moment to realize I can't call all ATxx so my combo can fold.

While my hand ends up in no-mans land. I'm finding this out more and more with PLO - if you're not sure what to do on a particular street, more often than not your mistake was on the previous street.

I can see hands with worse equity that call - examples of this are 5533 or AKQ8 with nut flush draw. So why do these call but my hand folds? It looks like river playability. These hands are more polar on river - they either hit and are likely winning, or miss and make great bluff candidates.

I can't find my exact hand - but if KJT9 is a 69th percentile hand, then I imagine my hand is similar.

Turn is a 4 and villain bets. Feels too weak to just fold when villain can have random flush draws, wraps, combo draws, so I call.

I check behind. I figure this is quite a high frequency bet if I had a club, but without one it's not obvious a bet pushes an equity edge, and hard to think of worse hands we can get value from. Seems this was mostly right, but even my hand gets in there with a small bet sometimes.

Villain's mistake here was betting the flop. They have an equity edge against our ranges, but there's lots of reasons for them not to bet. Only two cards would actually give them the nuts, and without a king or a club, it's easy for someone (like me!) to raise with a made hand/better draw.
