Also, of note, my friend is a woman, and her wife is fairly butch/not gender confirming, so, they had every reason to also profile her as someone who would probably be voting to the left.

Be vigilant. Insist not only on your right to vote but also of others to vote, and pay attention to who is being told they can't.

She said most of the 11 people directed to that area were brown & black people or in some way disabled. After she had shown her license three times and there had been a great deal of deliberation, they finally allowed her to vote. Be aware and be persistent."

I can't forget it. Every once and awhile I just hear him say "it's too late I've seen everything" like an intrusive (though not welcome) thought.

There's a part of me that's actually relieved 65+ is turning out higher than 45-64 because the latter has actually been voting the most conservative in the last few elections. That said, I don't trust this to be true on trans issues, which is one of the major stakes in WA this election.

This isn’t a horror novel, but I do also write horror, and there are moments that draw from horror for tension and atmosphere. Same as Scrooge, my main character needed to be scared straight.

Take the Yule Cat, for example, who ate children who didn't receive clothes for Christmas (sounds kind of like their parents didn't do what *they* were supposed to do but go off, Jólakötturinn.)

Look I accidentally renewed my CSA for the winter which is almost entirely made up of apples and I'm the only person in my household who likes apples which means I have two full boxes of apples sitting on my counter right now, so this feels like a threat.
