https://mockdrafthero.com is a free online mock draft simulator with spectacularly realistic trades, an impossibly simple UI, and practically real-time player ranking updates (legal note: "practically real-time" = multiple times each week, usually).
mockdrafthero.com now shows player stats and hometown for 2027 prospects when you expand the player bio. All positions except for offensive line got this new feature; the big guys in the trenches are important, but unfortunately the freely-available statistic data doesn't seem to include them.

The default draft order on mockdrafthero.com is now using the www.tankathon.com/nfl order, but for those who are deeply skeptical of the Vikings' and Browns' strong starts, you can switch to an order based on Super Bowl odds from the settings, or you can drag & drop to create your own custom order.

Pre-draft trades get some love today on mockdrafthero.com. If you want to see what questionable decisions led to a team obtaining a draft pick, the mouseover for pre-draft trades now includes the history of how that pick ended up with the current team. As always, please send us any bug reports.

With the NFL season underway mockdrafthero.com is now focusing on bug fixes and refinements:
1. The trade algorithm should be willing to sell the farm for a top QB, and will also detect positional runs.
2. Team needs are now algorithmically calculated; let us know if your team's needs seem "off".

While I've failed to post updates lately, there have been several changes to mockdrafthero.com. For one, you can now create and share your own board, so build your magnum opus and let everyone know about it! Second, the UI has seen major cleanups since simpler = gooder. Feedback is appreciated!
For everyone who repeatedly loses track of their preferred late-round sleeper picks, mockdrafthero.com now offers the ability to mark prospects as favorites. You can filter to only show your favorites by clicking on the star icon in the filter bar.

Odds are good that something has broken somewhere, so bug reports are much appreciated!
A LOT of people have asked for the ability to customize the mockrafthero.com draft order, but sadly our ones of programmers didn't have time to implement it in 2026. Now, with an assist from the AI overlords, the draft order is customizable so you can choose which team wins the 2027 QB sweepstakes.

For 2027 mockdrafthero.com will continue to offer multiple draft boards, but the default will be a new custom board created from a weighted average of numerous other rankings & mocks. Feedback is appreciated, but if you don't like a player's ranking blame the expert consensus & not the messenger!

Starting Thursday night mockdrafthero.com will be updating as the draft unfolds so that you can draft based on picks and trades that have already been made. A "Start from Scratch" option will still be available, but if you want to do a second round draft based on first round results then have at it!

mockdrafthero.com update for today: there's now a FAQ available by clicking on the "About" header menu item and then choosing the FAQ tab. For everyone who wonders how the AI decides to make a pick, or has asked how to change teams mid-draft, those questions now have answers.

mockdrafthero.com will now show pick suggestions when it is your turn to pick. You can configure the number of suggestions (or turn it off entirely) from the settings.

A small mockdrafthero.com update tonight: there's now a badge on the "Trade" button when it's your turn to pick with the number of trade offers available. Also, you now get up to 4 offers (was 3) with a random likelihood of 1, 2, 3 or 4 offers. I don't do UI, but hopefully this is a useful addition.

mockdrafthero.com now offers a dark mode for those who like to draft in the dark but worry about eye strain. Colors are still being tweaked and will probably change a bit in the coming weeks. As always please report any bugs and suggest any improvements.

Players bios on mockdrafthero.com now include all NFL Combine testing results. If you draft based on 40-yard dash time or bench press reps, or if you have an unhealthy obsession with hand size, that data is now available.

In the ongoing battle to simplify the mockdrafthero.com UI a few changes will be going live tomorrow. The "Show/Hide Filters" button is sadly dying, allowing other buttons to move around. This change frees up space on mobile, and gives more room for team details on web. Feedback is appreciated!
