Wainwrights 210, 211 & 212 - Middle Fell, Seatallan & Buckbarrow. The absolute worst conditions we have ever walked in. 6.5 miles, 5 hours 40 minutes, 2,900 feet of up and down.

Wainwrights 208 & 209 - Haycock & Caw Fell. A 10 mile epic, 3,200 feet of up and down. Perfectly pleasant if it’s not raining for the whole first hour, just a long way to go! And very wet underfoot!

Wainwright 207 - Kirk Fell. Some Wainwrights are lovely. Some are just nasty. This falls into the latter category. Never again. 7.5 miles, 2,400 feet of up and down.

Wainwright 206 - Pillar (not the one from Eldorado). 8.75 miles, 3,020 feet of up and down. The 8th highest mountain in England. A sunny and cloudy day in the fells.

Afternoon bird walk. 19 birds including Tree Pipit, House Martin, Tree Creeper and 2 Grey Herons fighting with Mallards. Added bonus of 2 red squirrels too!

A very nice 7.5mi walk along Stanage Edge, down to Bamford and back up again. Added 9 new birds to the 2026 list: chiffchaff, reed bunting, wheatear, skylark, meadow pipit, curlew, blackcap, mistle thrush and siskin.

What a crazy world we live in.
DOOM fully rendered in CSS. Every surface is a <div> that has a background image, with a clipping path with 3D transforms applied. Of course CSS does not have a movable camera, so we rotate and translate the scene around the user.

Wainwright 199 - Mungrisdale Common. He commented that it "has no more pretension to elegance than a pudding that has been sat on" and that “precious holiday hours should not be wasted here”. 5.7 miles, 1420 feet of up and down.
