Holee molee I forgot to lock my bike up out front of my work today! It was just sitting there at the bike rack out front the store for a whole 8 hour shift and then I came out…and it’s still there! Aaa!😮

Now that’s some good Star Trek. I like the silly stuff too, but this one was some good, straight, Trek with no mix 🖖
Star Trek Strange New Worlds S4E8 “Orders of Magnitude” was very much a good old fashioned classic Star Trek story and it was fab. A couple episodes lately have definitely not been old fashioned and they were fab too.
This whole series has been fab. Btw, S4E6 “Off-Hour” prolly most tense of any ep.

Alright, I quickly finished reading The Midnight Train by Matt Haig, I wanted to read from the library, so I can move on to my other hold. This was a beautiful, soulful, love story about slowing down and being in the now…so, good thing I binged through it? 😅

Favourite part of the fireworks festival tonight was before the fireworks started, there was some big lightning that got some ooos and ahhs from the crowd 😊
My parents used to tell us kids lighting is just “nature’s fireworks” so we wouldn’t be afraid. Totally worked: we all love lightning now ⛈️

That’s exactly why I like all the new Treks. We get to see the Star Trek universe from a bunch of different angles.
I loved how in Starfleet Academy we got to see the furtherest into the canon future they’ve gone. It meant they had the freedom to make things as different as they want 😊

I miss Discovery. I miss Lower Decks. I miss Prodigy. I miss Starfleet Academy. I miss what Picard set up for a potential Legacy.
Every one offered a different tone and feel, a different slice of the Star Trek universe. A mix of old and new. Each had something interesting to offer. I miss them.

So, it’s been 10 days since I logged a run. And I caught a cold last week. Still getting over it. And tomorrow morning I’m signed up for a charity 5k run.
It’s always the least attended run I take part in. Less than 100 pre-registered. It’s such a small sample size - I just don’t want to be last! 😅
