Another study using the shape-sketch method. I love how much control over color this method gives me! Although I feel like I still lose some of that impact in the rendering stage - I need to figure out the way to add the details without muddying it all up. #digitalart

A study to figure out a cool method, where you start with shapes and values instead of lines and anatomy. It allows you to plan the whole color composition first, rather than try to build upon the sketch (that necessarily limits your options).

I see two main problems in my process: 1) I keep backtracking, 2) my colors start nice and vivid, and get muddier in the end. So now I'm working on a method to solve both issues, and this is one of the studies I did for that purpose. Looks promising!
