A character profile for Polly Parker (an alternate reality trans version of Peter Parker) There are two main illustrations on the page: Polly in and out of her Spidey-suit. Four swords, alike in dignity. The first one which stands for a short sword for the game I've been hired to work on, is a katzbalger. It has a typical figure eight hilt made of two twisted brass quillions each looping on their side before curving down slightly towards the hand. The entire grip is brass and shaped like a flaring tower, with the crenelated battlement serving as the pommel. It makes for a pretty short but secure grip in the hand, which coupled with a short, thick, double fullered and doubled edged blade made it ideal for close quarter combat in the press of pikes. The second one stands for a 'bastard sword', which I decided to represent with a wide, flat, cut-centric blade with three hairline fullers. It has a long handle and two recurved quillions made of blued steel, but most of the grip and the hilt are covered in a tightly fitted leather rainguard embossed with the letters BfS in blackletter. The third was supposed to be a two-handed sword, and since I had to draw a large flamberge later on as well I made this one a simpler greatsword, more like a montante. It has a long decently slender blade with a flat spine going halfway down it, that bears some cutouts arranged in a diagonal hatching pattern. This is not historical but I was kind running out of ideas to make these look very different without being too wildly expensive as a generic weapon. The hilt is made of twisted gilt metal with a side ring, with a gilt brass wire grip and a square steel pommel. The fourth sword stands for a one handed "war sword" so I went for a beefy bladed arming sword, with a wide hollow ground double edged blade tapering down to a sharp point. The hilt is an S figure made of flat steel quillions, the grip is wire, and it sports a large wheel pommel.

Victims of abuse are going to look crazy, they are going to seem irrational, or unsympathetic, sometimes even indefensible, and abusers will often seem respectable, trustworthy or honest.
