Staff newsletter says the University of Melbourne is going to wind down their presence on Twitter this month. About time. Blaming it on rapidly declining engagement (which is likely pretty true). I also assume all of the other horrors going on there have finally pushed them over.

Old BOM page full of information, one page shows you all you need to know. New BOM, with perhaps 10% of the information in the same space. Huge fonts, vast amounts of wasted space. Old BOM radar, again one page has all you really need as a first look New BOM radar, had to scroll to the bottom of the page to get here, then do lots of clicking to get something to work. Yes, there are some new things that are nice to have but at the loss of lots of other types of information.
