NM lawmakers behind the Immigrant Safety Act amended the bill yesterday to also prohibit "287(g) agreements," which allow police to send inmates at local jails into ICE custody.
The governor has not yet said whether she supports lawmakers taking up the issue this 30-day session.

@waldo.net clarifies in the thread *$500 million. Very sad to hear this, as a software developer interested in civic tech, I frequently checked 18Fs job board.
18F, the federal government’s technology shop, was demolished by Musk’s team shortly after midnight. It was a cost-recoverable org, charging agencies for their expertise, using a consulting model. Its cost to government was negligible, its benefits huge. My team there once saved DoD $500 billion.
