Then, they look at the role women took as part of the WAAF in order to support the war effort by staffing radar stations, interpreting data as it was received etc.

Think of history units as a cumulative narrative like you would if writing a narrative! Callback and foreshadow...

In this case, the children learn about the heroics of the pilots flying in the Battle of Britain and how the Luftwaffe failed to understand how to destroy the radar network.

The table is used to provide an overview that the race spanned over 10 years and was broken into many steps.

The progressive reveal allows us to talk about each stage in-depth and chunk it into a phase before seeing where the story goes next.
