I answered a DBQ on the AP Euro exam with an essay based on a board game I'd played once. Got a 5.
Kids today have lost the fine art of bullshitting a 10 page paper from a single Funk & Wagnalls entry or from reading only the CliffsNotes. 🤣

the news that subterranean fungal networks, which sequester carbon, are densest in grasslands and most disrupted in tilled cropland complicates the issue of climate-friendly diets.

grazing livestock may fart methane, but they don’t plow grasslands under and destroy mycorrhizal networks.

Why are about half the posts on my discover tab some kind of movie poster? I don't interact with them generally and pretty disinterested in seeing pictures of horror films.

Just so you understand, this is as if you prepared for argument in front of a panel that included Cookie Monster, and Cookie Monster asked you a question about cookies, and you had not thought about cookies in advance.

SAUER: Ah, I think ... so. I have to think that through.

There's got to be a level of irritation derived from the fact this organizing in Minnesota comes from a place of empathy.
I am just gonna say it, these guys are completely emasculated by the knowledge that they have been out-organized by a group that is significantly made up of women, and all the bullshit call of duty nonsense is cope for their wounded egos bsky.app/profile/jeet...
MAGA military geniuses are talking about Minnesota protestors like they are the Iraqi insurgency, the Taliban, and the Viet Cong all rolled into one.

Democrats should run on the fact that their opposition is literally killing Americans and destroying the country.

It’s not hyperbole. That’s the message they should be blasting out to media every day.

They are killing Americans and destroying the country. They hate our freedom. They hate democracy

In America, where irony is dead, a hotel chain uses a policy denying shelter to local people, for fear of accidentally housing homeless persons…

To deny a reservation to the author of a much-lauded book on how American economic unfairness forces working people into homelessness.
A Hampton Inn in Asheville just canceled my family's reservation because our address (incorrectly) showed Asheville—and the hotel bars locals within 50 miles.

When I asked why, they said, "because of our homeless population," adding that most hotels here have similar policies.

This is outrageous.

Eldest child started playing Roblox during quarantine and I thought it was fine, he didn't play it much. In 2021, however, I noticed a wide swath of gore driven experiences, including some based on Squid Game. That wasn't something I felt like contextualizing and that was the end of Roblox access.
Oh, God, this is one of those "where do I even start" things, because Roblox is, like, *fractally* fucked. They are terrible at content moderation. A lot of the games are rated incorrectly, so kids can encounter graphic content (sex or violence) out of nowhere --
