This slogan adopted by Kristi Noem, "One of Ours, All of Yours," is taken from the Nazis, who retaliated for the killing of an SS officer by murdering all the inhabitants of the Czech village of Lidice, apparently none of whom had anything to do with it, and razing the village to the ground.

And with that affirmation, Australia's citizens dashed upon the rocks of the common good, a petty and grasping option. Dutton will doubtless find solace in his millions and soon to be role as a lobbyist.

Anybody who believes Dutton will match Albanese's Medicare promise "dollar for dollar" - I've got a bridge to sell -

Medicare is a complete anathema for the LNP - it's so far out of their increasingly Trumpian ideology it's almost at the ISS.

Dutton didn't take the wind out of Albanese's sails, he *copied* him. That puts wind *in* the PM's sails. He did something the opposition was desperate to neutralise.

But I guess this is what the election will be: A knee-jerk tendency of too many in the media to frame things negatively for Labor.

Why not: "Dutton forced into knee-jerk response by signature policy announcement by Labor"?
Or: "Dutton scrambles to match popular policy launch by the prime minister"?
