It’s infuriating when a woman comes forward about a man raping her in his hotel room after drinking and the response is “Why would she go to his room?” “Why would she drink with him?” This is Mike Pence logic. Women should be allowed to hang out with men without expecting they will be raped.

I have a friend from college that moved back to Lebanon a few years ago. We lost touch after a bit, but I am thinking of him. My heart aches for everyone there, and for the all of us somewhat sane humans in the world.

Before I became an American, I was Lebanese. Parts of my family live in Lebanon.
Anyway, you don't need those bona fides to feel this way, but what is happening in Lebanon right now is a complete outrage. The people there, who mostly are just trying to carve out a living, don't deserve this.
