You are incorrect. I’d expect them to be even more vigilant to follow the rule of law. Training on handling a firearm doesn’t mean they can break the law

I find this arrow confusing. I know it points north, but a quick glance has me thinking more about it than I should.. Would prefer an option to turn off the arrow…

I like that too. The question will be how to stagger the terms so a single president can’t just put all 14 in place. Need to find a way to implement over time (or the initial batch may have shorter terms). What about age limits?

They only think in 2 dimensions, so 2 can make an axis…

Too long. If the court remains at 9, a Constitutional Amendment will be needed to institute 18 year terms, and if a seat opens early, the successor only fills the remaining term. That allows only 2 nominations per presidential term, unless a death or resignation opens a seat.

I received it on Wednesday. Drove a bit on Thursday — it’s really well done. Lots of good in the new layout and app improvements. Waze indicators in maps is fantastic!

Man, I miss my Miata. But one of the reasons I sold it was I didn’t feel safe driving on freeways surrounded by all the huge pickups…

An Executive Order is not a law. It is guidance for the Executive Branch of the US Government. Google is not part of the US government…

Price, not process. When can we get an edit button?
August 21, 2026 at 6:42 PM
It’s not saying that. Let’s say it’s a $100 item pre-tarriff with a 50% Tariff. That chart shows the consumer is paying $133.50 after the tariff (not $150). The exporter drops their price by $4, while the Importer drops their process by $12.50. Everybody is worse off!
August 21, 2026 at 6:42 PM
I’d interpret that as the foreign exporters drop their pre-tariff price a bit to not lose as many sales. So do the importers, with the remaining 2/3 falling through to the consumer price. Regardless, it’s a tax on consumers that reduces demand…

Yet another reason to vote early. Texas restricts mail voting to only absentee (and you must be absent on all early voting days and Election Day — stupid law), but early voting locations are open from Oct 19 to 30.

To be more precise: people with large equity stakes like Bezos borrow against that equity, likely with a balloon payment decades down the road. They only pay interest along the way. That gives them access to cash instead of selling the equity. Such loans must be deemed as taxable income.

We should copy this law in every country!

Home hospice care?
August 6, 2026 at 6:51 PM
I disagree. They need to be taxed on their total income at the appropriate marginal rate (likely the highest). If they have equity with huge capital gains, any loan against that equity should be deemed income, not treated tax free. Deductions should be capped (AMT already helps with that)

Brakes? Check your regen settings. Brakes on an EV should last way over 100k miles…. On the 4 EVs we’ve had, the only maintenance has been tires, 12v batteries and a brake fluid flush (recommended based on time…). And wiper blades and fluid…

It’s to show the absurdity of proposed laws that prevent using a 3D printer to print gun parts. Those laws work by comparing the design to a gun section. This is absurd, but so are laws.
