Progressive Democrat.

I care about: Universal Health Care, nationwide rent stabilization, public housing. Tuition free Colleges, funding public education. LGBTQ+ Rights, expanded disability, SNAP, living wages. Social Democracy.

You have to be extremely racist or brainwashed to still be supporting Trump.

Ed Sheeran too much of a coward to even keep his comments on.
Ed Sheeran has released a statement on Macklemore being removed from his tour for speaking up for Palestine:

“I am not complicit. […] Just because I choose not to speak publicly, it doesn't mean I don't have [my own opinions], and it doesn't mean I don't care.”

I'm getting my SNAP benefits back. I'm now exempt from the work hour requirement.

Yay!

I will never forget this image when it comes to the topic of 9/11.

So eerie and gut wrenching.

Turns out Republicans like socialism when it's Trump telling them he'll give them free money.

A policy called Universal Basic Income is a real proposal that would guarantee extra income to all Americans, unconditionally and tax free.

Maybe they should get behind that instead of empty promises.

Wild wild stuff.
Katie Phang tries to interview Republican convention attendees. They avoid her, and one lets the secret slip: They’re “not allowed” to speak with the media.

Trump lunges toward and growls at a reporter (a woman) who asked him about why he's offering money to voters if his economic policies are working

The GOP convention is free campaign material for the Democrats at this point.

Trump is a demon.
Q: On the checks, we have $40t in debt. If your economic policies are working, why do you need an incentive for people to turn out to vote?

T: I'm doing it as a reward for having to put up w/Biden

Q: You also offered tariff refunds--

TRUMP: Not you

Q: And that didn't happen

T: You're the worst

JUST NOW: “NOT YOU!”

Trump snaps at another Black female reporter for asking a valid Q about why he has to bribe voters with $5000 (they’ll never get) if his economic policies are working. 🤔

(He again blamed Biden, whose economy the Economist called ‘the envy of the world’)

25 years after the horrific terror attacks of September 11th, 2001, we remember the New Yorkers we lost and honor the extraordinary heroism and selflessness that carried our city forward.

Trump continues to demand that his appointees indict his political opponents without evidence. And even some of his most loyal and ardent far-right MAGA supporters just can’t do it and end up resigning. But he still has Todd Blanche who will do his bidding.

TEA: Apparently, Joe DiGenova told Josh Christenson of the New York Post "If you want indictments where there's no evidence, you have an ethical problem."

This is the second post I've seen of someone being doxxed TODAY.

Crazy and insane, stay safe!

Katie Phang hands down has the best coverage of the Republican Midterm Convention
Phang: I’m here in Dallas, Texas, at the Republican National Convention’s midterm convention. I can tell you it’s an incredibly underwhelming energy here. Many of you may have been to conventions in other cities. There is a dynamic, almost frenetic energy surrounding a convention. Here? Womp womp

I am tired of people saying we can’t win in front of the Supreme Court.

I’m annoyed by those who say my firm is too partisan to be effective.

Today we won a huge redistricting fight before SCOTUS and a ballot access case before the Nebraska Supreme Court.

The lesson: When we fight we win.

I could give two shits about McConnell because he's one less Republican vote for right now.

I know it's a waste of taxpayer dollars but I'd rather have one less vote than anything.

We need a national rent cap.

That's my most radical idea. A national rent cap of $900 at least nationwide.
