My picture of the day. 36 years ago, Desert Shield started which eventually became Desert Storm. I think it was the Red Cross that gave us things like this along with toiletries and other things. Still have this deck.

Happy birthday to an cultural icon that spurred many to take up careers in science and medicine, addressed cultural issues that could be viewed in space but not on our own planet, and which gave us hope that we can do better. Also, gave us a safety briefing on the dangers of wearing a Red Shirt.

My picture of the day. Tomorrow, I'm off to Montreal and while there, my wife and I are going to Ticonderoga NY to see the Star Trek set exhibit. I am so going to geek out there. So, here's a cake my former boss had made for his wife who's also a fan of the Original Star Trek.

My picture of the day. This being the 40th anniversary of my HS graduation, I thought I share the beauty of where I went, East High in Denver. It really is a beautiful building and I had a great time, made some lifelong friends and I never hesitate to mention where I went. Built in 1924.

My picture of the day. At the Detroit airport and a Vietnam Vet was sitting next to me. Turned out it was also his BD. As I boarded the plane, I told the crew about him. The flight attendants made a crown of cookies for him.Happy BD Phil.

I choose to keep trying the things I loved before my multiple sclerosis diagnosis rather than wallow in depression, but it does take some adaptability. Here I am with my Zeen which is a great tool to help with mobility- even at 10,500 feet in the Indian Peaks area.
