Some people say Toby Fox and Gooseworx's treatment by their fandoms is comparable, but I disagree. Toby Fox was in the Homestuck fandom and saw Andrew Hussie get this treatment. So as soon as he became a public figure he ducked in cover and disappeared from social media for the most part.
All things considered, If I had known every single dumb joke I've ever made was going to get taken 100% seriously by thousands and thousands of people, I would have at least tried to make them funnier.
