HERE: I wish I could write down everything that's in my head about this film, but I think that would only break me. Come for the wholesome Hanks/Wright/Zemeckis reunion and stay for perhaps the most depressing film of the year. I was not prepared for how dark it would get in this cosy living room.

I don’t know why, but Spotify shuffle keeps playing the Solo: A Star Wars Story soundtrack a LOT lately, and John Powell has really created an underrated thing of beauty there

2025 was mostly terrible, but here are three things I'm proud of professionally: interviewed one of the all-time great filmmakers, visited a real, proper film set, and did an anatomy of a scene with a director, which then became the first oral history I published :)

had to reshare this story by @brndnstrssng.bsky.social because it almost made me cry? at these junkets/red carpets, there's basically never enough time and space to get really good coverage. makes it even cooler that butler came back after the storm to talk to the journalists
