Look closely at centre right, behind the honeysuckle vine growing against the side of our house, there's an American Robin (Turdus migratorius) sitting on her nest.

Some of them shed more easily than others, one seems to have had a struggle with one leg.

Came out to our screened gazebo to find 6 of these cicada exuviae, the skins shed by larvae after they emerge from their time underground.

We get some big boys in the woods near me in Ottawa.
