Here is the cover for my current pmd comic. It follows Fynn and Merry, now with their new looks, after roughly the same events of the pitch-pilot comic I posted before. (I’m writing the adjusted events as a short story, it’ll be out… eventually…)

Most are some degree of happy at the sight of the new recruits, with a flaaffy two focused on a book to care. Merry is just as excited, looking to Fynn, who has a bit of an annoyed expression, likely not used to being so close to others or the overly-happy vibe, or maybe he’s just an introvert out of his comfort-zone. Time will tell.

Tried drawing another Deltarune character. This time the truest hero, Suzie!

While Ralsei is a precious bean, Suzie is definitely my fav of the FUN gang.

Unsure of others, but to me she’s the real main protagonist of the game.

My take on OoT remake.

way too much greebling on some of the outfits to the point it looks off, and the graphics are very “made in unreal engine” in a distracting way. Environments and characters look disconnected.

but that’s just my take.

What I’m about to say may be divisive…

But onions are disgusting. They have a terrible texture no matter what, are shoved into everything like a parasite, and ruin my life. I cannot stand them. They are evil.

I found an old sketch thing I made some time ago. It’s like one of those character AMA things that are around. Using it for some world-lore for how I think lucario spikes work. Enjoy!

In a tumblr style ask post mock-up: A fake anonymous user asks - “Congrats on evolving, Fynn. But now that you’re all spikey, will you just never get hugged again?” Fynn, a lucario as this post is at some future point from the comic, looks at the viewer with an unamused expression. “Firstly, you have weird priorities.” he says. The next panel shows Fyn holding up a paw and channeling his aura, the metal of his chest and paw spikes responding by flattening to riolu-like rounded discs. “Second, these are made of orichalcum, a metal, I have control over them and can easily change their shape.” “But really, weird concern.” he says as an after-thought.

Scott, MutagenWorks himself, is on stage, trying to give an update about the PMD webcomic Auracharge. However, as it is PMD Day, a caption box appears, says a human is not wanted here, and Scott gets turned into an Umbreon. The height difference from Human to Umbreon makes Scott crash to the ground, and then have to climb and scramble back up into frame. He then gives the update. Life has been hectic and has caused mental strain, but he has 4 pages in the works as part of the next upcoming section of the comic, planning to release them weekly once the section is all made. He then leaves to go figure out how to get his normal body back.

Realism for the new starfox artstyle is odd

I don’t dislike it but the cutscenes show weak points

We’ve lost a lot of expressiveness and personality

My main thought: Nintendo is not keeping this art style going forward. It’s too drastic of a design change and they’ll retreat to familiarity.

Is pokopia canon to PMD? probably not? is it canon to my comic-verse? idk, haven’t decided 🤣

(I have been still working on the comic, progress is just slow 😓)
Fynn the riolu of team AuraCharge has accidentally triggered Merry’s Hyper-fixation about humans. As such she has taken him to a library and gotten every book on humans they have, mentioning that she has seen more that this library doesn’t have. Merry then points out that the book Fynn has open has an “artist rendition” of what pokemon think humans looked like. Fynn is left stunned as he sees a picture of what is clearly a ditto as a human in the style of pokopia. Dialogue: Fynn: “These are all books on humans?” Merry: “Yeah! Well the ones the library has. I couldn’t find all the ones I know.” Fynn “This is a real hyper-fixation for you, huh?” Merry: “You could say that. Oh hey, that’s an artist rendition of how you guys look!” Fynn: “Uhhh…” *second panel shows the ditto from pokopia in a drawing, displayed as a figure in a book* Fun fact: one of the books Merry is carrying is canonically a book written by the partner character from EoS in my comic-verse!

… I haven’t drawn in so long. I keep meaning to but am struggling with another bout of ADHD burnout (plus pokopia is sucking up a lot of free-time).

Hopefully I’ll at least get a sketch made for sharing soon 😅
