“Confidence in the system of governing Britain remains at a historic low,” the National Centre for Social Research reported in June.

It's not the end of Britain's democracy but we shouldn't be complacent.

Today, the All-Party Parliamentary Group @appgfairelections.bsky.social held its Annual General Meeting.

The APPG now brings together 158 MPs and peers, making it the largest in Parliament!

With the Elections Bill coming soon, 2026 will be a crucial year for the campaign for fair votes.

One of the most common questions he gets is about changing the voting system.

72.8% agreed: democracy must be defended at all costs. But many weren't happy with the way it currently works.

"Change the voting system" was proposed as one of the solutions. We agree.

A massive Reform majority despite 73% of voters not voting for them. Is there, anyone, anyone left who thinks our electoral system is fit for purpose? Please none of the usual responses, like Reform won’t be so popular at the next GE or that we can rely on tactical voting. We need fair votes!
