AI Alpine divorce is now a thing.

Alpine divorce is a neologism describing situations where an individual was abandoned by their romantic partner during hiking, climbing or mountaineering,

Hot take: I spoke with a big important person at a big important company.
I messaged this person on LinkedIn. Got an answer within 15 minutes where they could not spell my name right. I kept trying to tell myself it would be ok. Nah. Kept getting worse. So that's my new red flag.

Agentic ecommerce news (it's a thread): WebMCP

Every website is about to become its own AI integration. ChatGPT can now check your order status or stock directly, using code you already have. No server, no vendor contract. That's the whole barrier now: a small dev task.

Claude's text watermark means changing which words get picked at "low stakes" moments. IMO word choice is NOT "low stakes". Synonyms carry their own mood, history, voice. A statistical model can't account for all of that considering it treats words as interchangeable. Language is not fungible.

Image GEO tip: be coherent in your images. Talk the talk but make sure the image worth 1000 words also supports what you are saying. Watch the video to see what I mean.

Hacking is getting polite. In June, attackers opened a chat with Meta's AI Support Assistant, asked it to add a new email to the victim's account, got a verification code sent to their own inbox, then walked away with a password reset button.
I wrote an SEL article on what it means for marketers.

How are you not optimizing your videos for LLMs though? HOW?!

I am speaking about THAT at Search Evolution Summit in September in Cluj-Napoca with Roxana Stingu, Gianluca Fiorelli and Mark Williams Cook and more!

Training crawlers versus retrieval agents. One ingests your content for free to train models, and the other indexes your page in real time to answer user questions. You're subsidizing model training with infrastructure costs that produce no return.

Your brand layers matter in AI search a lot more than they did in regular Google SERPs. I'm discussing the brand control quadrant with Gianluca because I can't be the only one dealing with clients haunted by old PDFs and forums feedling LLMs outdated info.

I like to start at the end sometimes. LLMs don't hand people a category page and tell them to go and browse. They pull out products.

So what happens to the category and collection pages? I answer that at the AI Search & Systems Summit on 13 August. It's free!

Did anyone ever tell you about spatial queries? Those are the queries best answered by multimodal GEO (images, videos, sometimes audio). In my session at the AI Search & Systems Summit I'm discussing that.

Thursday 13 August. Free to attend, 18 sessions across two days.

Machines optimize. People differentiate.
Same structure, same order, same concepts as the top result means you are a variant of a thing, not the main show.

Every AI answer opens with a paragraph of throat-clearing and buries the actual instruction at the bottom. That's almost always unusable for an ADHD brain.

Installed ayghri's i-have-adhd skill. Ten rules. All of them just good technical writing that helps.

Reddit huge for LLMs. It's the cleanest record of tribes arguing in their own voice, with their own vocabulary, about what matters to them. r/Watches performing connoisseurship. r/frugalmalefashion litigating value. It feels like ethnography basically but by LLMs and at a dizzying scale.

Gemini, pray tell, what have you learned that humans do with microphones exactly?
June 30, 2026 at 1:46 PM
When you type a query like "healthiest snack for someone in their mid-40s with ADHD.", LLMs break this down to make judgment calls and inferences, such as interpreting "mid-40s" to mean "adult" and inferring that "ADHD" means the user "needs to focus". The fan-out feels like typecasting for products
