Trump refused to pay for SNAP benefits during the federal shutdown last year, cutting off food assistance for 750,000 Oregonians. I declared a hunger emergency, and @danrayfield.bsky.social and I took him to court and won. Benefits were back in people’s hands that night.

Something I’ve heard about during my trip to the Gulf?

War profiteering. Often by U.S. companies.

Let me tell you what I learned. And why a Democratic Congress should do something about it

Sliwa getting a flu shot: This could be very embarrassing. I’m supposed to be a tough guy, right?

Mamdani: I can hold your hand.

Sliwa: What happens if I faint?

Mamdani: I got you.

Doctor: You’re in great hands, literally.

As your Governor, I will work to make sure our state gets what it needs – and I will never get rolled over by an administration that wants to hurt our state. But Christine Drazan has shown that when it’s most important to stand up for our state, she will stay silent.

Hard to disagree with this.
I'd rather have an economy that makes 1,000 millionaires than 1 billionaire.

I’d seen several posts like this trying to explain the strange boxy bustle that sometimes appears under Trump’s jacket, and I was skeptical (largely because I didn’t think he would be coordinated enough to use it or circumspect enough to keep quiet about it) but then I saw this.

When Trump said he was sending troops to Portland, we said no and took him to court. 100 days later, they all went home, and not a single troop was on our streets.

Now, one year later, we still stand up to the federal administration every single day.

Pete is lost in terms of modern war. I use the example of this outgunned Ukrainian army officer who successfully terrorized a Russian unit for weeks because she "did the math."

At the time, someone commented, "yeah, in combat, 'I did the math' beats 'I can do 100 pushups' every time."
