Heartcarver Anette, a soul magician, witnesses a flourishing life extinguished by a reaper tearing out a soul. The reaper should be myth but he's real, curious, even friendly.

Back when I first started writing The Heartcarver, this was the mood board for my main character Anette. I'd likely make different choices if redoing this now, but it still gives me a warm, cosy feeling to see it.
