One thing I wish I could beat into the head of every young male human being: you will be happy to the extent you have rich relationships, and you will develop rich relationships to the degree that you show vulnerability. I hope it's clear to everyone now that Trump really is going for it - he's trying to become a dictator. I don't know if he'll succeed, but he's working to install himself as an autocrat unaccountable to voters. And he's weaponizing the military against Americans who oppose him as part of that effort

feels worth flagging that we've now had sustained disparate protest and One Big Day protest at or above the scale of 2017 so it might be time to drop the "public reaction to trump has been more muted in his second term" spiel
