The true disgrace of Instagram moderation (and social media moderation in general) is the effect it's had on an entire generation of creators who have silently, inadvertently, censored their creative spirit for opaque, puritan desires they probably didn't even know was shaping their work.

People and culture are locked in a repeating cycle obsessed with body image. Media places greater emphasis on women to conform with certain figures and sizes than men, the majority of those women are slender and athletic. Beauty standards have led so many to suffer with insecurity and depression.
