I am not a fan of cold water usually but when in northern Finland there is nothing better than a hot sauna and a dip in a frozen lake.

At the invitation of a friend I finally got to watch an opera ballet at the Palais Garnier, one of the most famous opera houses in Europe. Initiated in 1861 by Napoleon III, it is an architectural gem. I got to see Castor et Pollux, first performed in 1737.
