Russian oligarch and close personal friend of Putin Umar Kremlev secretly paid hundreds of thousands of dollars toward Donald Trump Jr’s May wedding in the Bahamas, ProPublica reports.

Kremlev and several other Russians were among the 50 guests.

We loved this so much we just had to put English subtitles on it, apologies to the French speakers for our translation. But this is what it would look like here in the UK if Farage or Lowe or another of their ilk got their own way.

Reform hoped for a reset. Instead, financial shenanigans & violence in conference hall dominated headlines.

Masked protesters, attacks on police & threats against RNLI staff – why did it take so long for govt to respond?

The answer may be more politically uncomfortable than the disorder itself.

A third of today's Americans are too young to have any memory of 9/11.

For them, the 9/11 Memorial is making a new digital learning experience available starting tomorrow.

We said we'd never forget—and part of that charge is making sure the next generation remembers too.

Whitby. I liked it. Cheerful, busy, boisterous. People having a good time, and then there's that haunting ruin on the headland, not even English Heritage can neuter that. And pleasingly remote, it takes three hours to get here by train from Sunderland, you can get to London in less time than that.

It's nonsense to suggest that people who support Brexit and Reform are motivated by racism. And if you don't believe me, check out this perfectly reasonable tweet by prominent Reform member and former mayoral candidate, Arron Banks.

I just think that risking your life at a moment's notice to save people you've never met in exchange for no money is a better expression of patriotism than dressing up like a Poundshop paramilitary and intimidating families with kids trying to get onto a ferry.

A ferry across the Mersey anyone? Not me though, not at £26 a go!

BBC interviews foreign sec & says "if we make Israel a pariah on the international stage, we stir the pot, we increase risk of antisemitism on our streets".

The argument is deeply flawed while Israel commits war crimes on a daily basis.

We can and must call this out without being antisemitic.

Excellent and timely piece, a reminder of the facts and structure of the RNLI by @bearlypolitics.co.uk

And he's right about this: there's no security for Israel until there is security for Palestine. That the Starmer government could never utter such simple truths, but instead treated the Palestinian cause as yet another means of attacking the Labour left, is one of the many reasons why he had to go.

Since its foundation in 1824 the bravery of Royal National Lifeboat Institution volunteers has saved more than 146,700 lives at sea.
Hundreds of those volunteers have died attempting to save others. They are the best of us.

The sympathetic coverage of the thugs in Dover and Portsmouth is pitiful.
The doxxing of the RNLI volunteers is beyond disgraceful and invalidates any claim that these thugs have a valid point.

Why are news outlets still giving this asshole news coverage?
