I deeply resent the implication that I would fiddle my finances. Just because I had to repay €173,000 after being caught funnelling EU funds into my general election campaign, then had my salary docked to recoup €40,000 in misspent EU funds, doesn't mean I'm dishonest.

THIS! I can't tell you how long I've been trying to talk to the libertarian right legal professoriat as if they're sincere, and now that we're seeing the biggest executive overreach possibly in the nation's history (at least Lincoln and FDR had just wars as an excuse) where are they?
With one or two exceptions, the folks on the right who have spent years talking about the importance of congressional power as a cudgel against the administrative state are noticeably silent about this administration's blatantly unconstitutional undermining of Congress's most important power.
If you, a “constitutional conservative,” are spending your time doing this right now, I never want to hear about the separation of powers from you again.
