This is very exciting news for all of us here. This will be the first dedicated space we will have had that has been specifically designed for the delivery of oncology/haematology research in the North East.
It will be an amazing space for our patients to receive the best possible care.

Great news! Planning permission has been granted today for the Sir Bobby Robson Institute.
With £20 million raised already by supporters, fundraising is now ramping up to raise the final £10million needed.

Today marks the twenty fourth anniversary of my starting work in cancer research. I wasn’t sure what to expect, moving from radiotherapy, but I haven’t looked back since.
I’ve been in my current role, managing the Sir Bobby Robson Cancer Trials Research Centre, for the past 10 years and I love it.
