Today is always a very odd & difficult day for me. It is the birthday of two of the people who most influenced me: One being the person who inspired me to pursue art. The other was the man who encouraged my game design & vending. His absence is acute.

It may be futile, but why can't folks just leave each other alone. If no one is being hurt, leave folks alone. There is so much actual evil going on, let people find comfort while they can, where they can.

I have shrimp in my little aquarium and as bonus the nice lady threw in a free baby guppy and a free baby platy. It is a nice set up.

Sometimes, I think about how much of my life I have tasted, savored, like secondhand smoke. When it's quiet & dim, I think of the people I knew & places I haunted. The ghosts of who I was come sliding into me like animation cells, art layers of opacities & hues. They carry my memory's incense.(Cont)

Every artist has their inspirations; mine are J. Scott Campbell, Mads, Masamune Shirow, Talon, Noberto Yuki & @kamiveicht.bsky.social whose talent & skill is the benchmark for my entire artistic life. I still refence her poses on work from the 90s. Not there yet but I try. And it is a heckuva chase

I don’t think people understand the power of simple kindness. Not just to change others but to save ourselves. We see the promotion of power: the ability to exert your will regardless of others' preferences. It is far harder to help another despite the challenges... and is far more rewarding.
