This debate really gets to interesting discussions about what we mean by intelligent or sentient or the like, because these terms have always been based on "how much is it like humans," instead of envisioning an alternative mode.
I think people are wasting a lot of cycles on whether AI is conscious or intelligent when really we’re trying to figure out if it’s human, and it isn’t

I think the word lethal may be inappropriate here.
Christa Pike, a Tennessee woman who was set to be executed on Wednesday, was still alive that night after two syringes of lethal drugs had been administered, according to her lawyers. Here's what to know.
What to Know About the Execution Attempt of Christa Pike
Ms. Pike, 50, survived two doses of lethal injection in Tennessee. She was sentenced to death for the 1995 murder of a classmate.

Based on this, I predict we'll be ensnared in a ground war in Cuba within a month that somehow we'll lose

I fully expect the GOP, if they retain control, to pass a law that the president gets a bonus based on increased tariff revenue

I'm having way more fun going through the individual ballots on The List than the actual results... The fact that Alec Baldwin included young Sheldon confirms everything I think about both.

guys please stop falling for this, this is not “rogue AI” it’s “environments with lax cybersecurity controls”
The latest update in the rogue A.I. saga: OpenAI agents that were supposed to be performing mundane data requests for things like health data, historic photos and wait times at theme parks resorted to hacking attempts when they couldn't access the data they wanted www.nytimes.com/2026/09/23/t...

In each incident, the technology appeared to be conducting mundane data collection and resorted to hacking techniques to get it, researchers said.

Florida population: 23,000,000
ACA enrolled Floridians: 4,000,000
Dr Oz: "There are 5 times more people in parts of Obamacare in Florida than live in the state. It's impossible More than a third of people on Obamacare have never used the insurance policy once. If you were gonna pay your hard-earned money to buy insurance, would you ever use it? The answer is yes"

You know, like when Washington scrubbed that whole monolith clean, or when Mr. Rushmore carved those faces into the rock. We name monuments after the guy who renovates them.
Q: Why is it so important for you to have your name on the Kennedy Center?

TRUMP: Well, it's a very simple question to answer, because it's a mess. I think the Trump administration should certainly have recognition.

I'm just saying, it shouldn't be that surprising that a guy with control of the FBI and CIA, who is familiar with Epstein's operation, somehow gets cooperation from the entire GOP and most billionaires.

A coworker tried to show me how useful AI is by sending me a memo on "developments in state discrimination laws." One of the cases it included misstated the entire issue, which I knew because it was MY FUCKING CASE. It also wasn't exactly breaking new law, so it's super weird that the AI found it.
