But of course it's also a hindsight 20/20 thing... At least for myself as a newer suiter, fullsuit doesn't fix being in a space where I know nobody and have little common ground. If it's a familiar space though, I don't feel the need to suit... but not sure if I'd have known that as a younger me.

I dunno, I guess fursuits always just seemed like a way to be -your- character in real life. I could also see getting a really nicely made suit that isn't your character as a work of art. But the plagiarized temusuit is neither of those...

When I'm fullsuiting I definitely get a lot more attention, but since it's harder to converse and I'm on a timer due to heat, a lot of the interaction tends to be small one-offs or photo-ops (which are still fun in their own way) rather than really getting to know anyone.

Relatively new suiter, for me it was more the psychological safety of having a suit that made me better at interacting with people than actually wearing it. Most of the new folks I've gotten to know were met at room parties or random panels where I wasn't even in a partial.
