"40k romance when" is a popular take but one I disagree with. While I'm all for adding romance as a motivation for people's action or B plots, the setting is a wargame, I prefer for its identity to stay that way. It's ok. 40k doesn't have to be all things to all people.

A quote tweet that says: "Asexuals/Aros can be sexual/romantic" is more about reassuring allos of relationship availability than to showcase the spectrum of experiences. Until sex and romance stops being an expectation from people that statement can feel disingenuous at times. The quoted tweet below says: I’ve always hated how often the “asexuals can have sex too” point gets brought up in conversations about asexuality. While technically true, it’s often used in a way that undermines the orientation.
