So, not the news we were hoping for. Although the tumour has shrunk, the lil fecker is still wrapped around the arteries. Still sort of in limbo, but now talking about radiation therapy and then maybe surgery, but it’s a big maybe. I’m not giving up yet, but it’s getting tougher to stay positive

So, I have #pancreaticcancer. I’m on folfirinox chemotherapy, and my tumour has shrunk, but I still don’t know if I will be able to have a #Whipple procedure. Just wondering if there’s anyone here who’s been through it and would be ok to talk to me about it 💜

I’ve been on the Cotton Site because I think I was here a bit early on and was talking to myself. Sadly it’s becoming infected by trolls and bots, and certain left-leaning accounts keep getting quashed by meta, thanks to MAGAts reporting them.

I don’t really post on here because, well, no-one sees it, but I’d just like to say fuck this pancreatic cancer malarkey. It comes with a side order of type 3C diabetes, blood clots, delayed healing and several other unpleasantnesses. Two ED trips in two days.

Staff at Mater Brisbane yesterday & staff at the Cancer Care Springfield today have been just great; kind & gentle, making 2 very stressful days much easier than I expected. Special thanks to Ninetta & all the oncology staff. You rock!❤️

Currently still pleasantly buzzing from IV midazolam and fentanyl for my portacath placement. Think I’m going to have some impressive bruising where the line goes under the skin! Wish I could have watched the procedure but they bury you under a sterile drape!

Tuesday was my last “normal” day. Went to the gym, lunched with my gym friends, received many hugs and encouragement. Tomorrow the portacath is fitted, then Thursday I start the 5FU chemo. I’m about to find out just how much it F’s U up!

I’ve always loved and supported the BBC, I thought if both “wings” were accusing you of bias, you must be doing ok. It’s one of the things I missed about having to move back to Australia.
