60% of Turks may favor regime change in the sense that they don't like the current regime (prior to this assault), but NOONE in Turkey except for isolated cases want regime change waged by Israel and the US. So don't use this as a straw man in order to refer to some kind of disconnect

It's not about being perfect, it's about politics; being a Marxist is ultimately about politics (not even so sure how great a theorist he was, esp. his 2006 work, but let's not get into that). If his theory is useful fine. But I don't aggrandize intellectuals, will criticize their politics.

My problem is with great theorists with bad politics. Postone unfortunately fits in this category as a Zionist who supported the Iraq war. As someone who lives in the Middle East, we don't have the luxury to separate praxis from theory.
