A reminder that Delo previously pled guilty in the US to violating money laundering protections and agreed to pay a $10 million fine for "willfully” breaking the law with his BitMex platform, which was described as "in effect a money laundering platform.”

My first review out of Venice: Danny Boyle has smeared shit all over his career by using AI in INK 🎥 and (in a movie about the importance of holding hypocrites to account) has ruined all the exceptional work of his human collaborators by doing so movieswetextedabout.com/ink-stinks-v...

First time at St.James this season. The upgraded sound system blasting out music at half time was unpleasant. Having to shout in my mates ear to be heard. Like the worst nightclub ever. #nufc

It's now literally impossible to travel on public transport without hearing someone playing music/video/calls or of a phone speaker. I've invested in a pair of nose cancelling headphones to save my sanity but when did this become acceptable?

What a joke. Chelsea spent over 10yrs financially cheating their way to the top of the league and laying the foundation for their top 6 status and this is what they get?

I know it's not news Kemi Badenoch is not across the detail, but this is an absolute shocker. She says the UK's net zero plans are 'perversely increasing carbon emissions'. In 2019 when net zero targets were adopted emissions were 45% below 1990 levels. Last year they were 54% below 1990 levels.

I know this might sound crazy, but FIFA rules legit govern world transfers, the only reason they get to have that monopoly in EU law is by being a not-for-profit organisation... it's all a bit existential.
Well the structures that govern World Football might be about to collapse around us, so my own feeling iffy about #NUFC 's season might have to be put on the back burner for abit

Port of Tyne saying "ooh, look, we've done the easy bit" by hovering up the stuff that was still in the containers is getting positive coverage, but missing the fact that the stuff left in the containers was very much *not the fucking issue here*
Damaged containers cleared of nurdles, but meanwhile a billion of them are washing up the Tyne, onto our beaches and into the sea.

This is perhaps one of the biggest plastic pollution events in the UK.

And yet there’s almost no national coverage.

The Port of Tyne says the containers which spilled nurdles into the sea have been vacuumed.

I‘m fascinated by this front page posted by @adamjschwarz.bsky.social

Did the people assembling that know the juxtaposition? Was it people lower in the hierarchy who dared do this, against the editorial line? Or no one assembling this front page made the connection?

This story is indeed insane. They literally *discounted his correct answers* (on questions about the Constitution) so that a Trump supporting girl who wants to go to Hillsdale College could win $25K and be televised meeting Trump. So. Gross.
This story is crazy.

It would appear Trump admin officials rigged their nationally televised high school civics contest to keep a young man from a Sikh family out of the finalists.

⚫⚪ An absolutely colossal figure in Newcastle United's history. He will certainly never be forgotten, only cherished.

The greatest thing to happen to NUFC in my time, 92-94 being my highlight but also loved his playing days as a bairn, not only the greatest manager but an absolute top bloke. I'm gutted to hear about his passing and hope he fully realised what he meant to those who lived through it. RIP Wor Kev.
