I’ve been practicing my standing wraps bc it’s something I don’t use often but feel like it’s a necessary skill, except I had mice eat my pillow pads like 5 years ago so I only have back ones rn…and they go over Joey’s knees in the front LOOOOL

Joey is prone to choke bc of his toe back, and I’m ngl, a lot of people don’t know what choke looks like. Videos of some horses choking is like, shocking to me cause they’re not even salivating and everyone’s having a meltdown 😅

I know this is probably a snooty opinion but winter boarders really annoy me. Like, either be here all year or not man 😭 and they’re always the worst boarders too!!! 😫😫😫😫

Also yes I haven’t been around for two months, mainly bc I’ve been in septic system replacement mode which is not for the faint of heart. But Joey and I are doing well besides that!!!

Simultaneously got better at clipping armpits and worse at clipping heads 😂 it was a quick job so I wasn’t going for perfection, this will do!! ❤️

Saw a sun dog this morning, my horse seems to be making peace with the new mare, and everyone had their own hay pile this afternoon, I don’t think I can ask for much more 🥰

Now that I’ve started a discussion can someone give me a run down on if any of these are terrible choices?? Also is it better to go with thinline reins or go with the rubber lined ones?? I’m assuming that just flat reins are super slippery and I’ll hate that lol

I fear my dressage bridle is near the end of its life and I should probably invest in some decent reins but shopping for bridles is like my least favourite activity 😫😫😫

A horse got loose while I was lunging Joey and he was such a good boy about it 🥺 just stood there while the other horse smelled his belly even though it was the horse that badly chased him in the field last winter, he is such a good boy ❤️
