What I mostly experienced at that time from many feminists in the UK was the sense that women in games were “asking for it”. Because everyone knew games were misogynist and horrible so what were we doing working in that industry? And no idea about how an online terror campaign worked.

Later that year they realised maybe it had been a bit important and asked me to cover it for their year round-up. I agreed. 24 hours before broadcast they told me this would now be a debate with Milo Y. I and I refused because no I do not debate him. I had to point them to his more egregious stuff
