I'm devastated to learn my old friend and comrade David Cobb has died. 💔

His tireless organizing touched so many from the Green Party to his work challenging corporate power to his numerous projects for justice and liberation.

He was a relentless visionary. Listen to him in his own words below.

Finally got a cutting grown from my late grandpa's African Violet plant! He always had trays and trays of babies propagating around the house.

The mother plant is easily more than 35 years old.

He and grandma were a real Renaissance power couple ❤️

A Labor Day reminder: having a job is no longer enough to protect millions of Americans from homelessness.

For many workers, the greatest threat isn't losing their job. It's that their job will never pay enough, never provide enough hours, never offer enough stability to keep them housed.
Opinion | America Is Pushing Its Workers Into Homelessness (Gift Article)
The working homeless are casualties of our prosperity.

Today is a good day to remind people that OJ Simpson was acquitted in criminal court for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.

The family of Ron Goldman sued OJ in civil court for wrongful death.

They won.

$33 million judgement. They got his book money.

When someone is charged with committing a crime, by the time it gets to trial, the deck is already heavily stacked against the defendant.

The state is a fucking JUGGERNAUT with all the resources, power, and influence at their fingertips to bury you if they really wanted to.

Later, the Seattle Times elaborates on this bonkers theory, saying explicitly that the mayor fired the police chief not for reasons, but because she's trying to "scapegoat" the former police chief to distract the public from her bumbling of a crisis that THE POLICE CHIEF MISHANDLED.

What a batshit first sentence to an editorial excoriating the mayor of Seattle for removing a controversial police chief appointed by her predecessor, something our mayors have routinely done.

The conspiracy brain at play: "How dare this scheming woman try to distract us from her incompetence!"

TL;DR: The Seattle Times editorial board is showing its entire ass. They are desperate to have Katie Wilson fail, and they're willing to make up bizarre conspiracy theories to facilitate that outcome.

Everyone is blaming Martha Reeves for botching up the national anthem at the WPBL Opening Day.

What I want to know is what in the hell those two random yt women were doing on the field with microphones.

Martha is telling the entire story with how far she moved away from them.

Oh, Mike McGinn

If the centrist Seattle City Council (which included that fucker Brucey) hadn't been completely obstructionist, our city could have had:

- NO Alaskan Way tunnel
- pedestrian and bike-friendly infra
- municipal broadband
- light rail to Jimothy

Liberals need to stop celebrating useless symbolic gestures. This is less than the bare minimum because it doesn't do anything.

Prosecute and impeach everyone for their actual crimes and corruption.
Oh wow. Glad to see this.

WOW. New announcement from Seattle CMs Strauss, Hollingsworth, and Foster saying they will fund universal school meals starting in the fall after all by using the general fund.

Hard to see this as anything but a realization of the high political price they paid for their votes yesterday.

By a 6-3 vote, the Seattle City Council just voted to reject Mayor Katie Wilson's universal free school meals plan.

The Councilmembers who voted yes (against the plan): Hollingsworth, Foster, Rivera, Kettle, Strauss, Juarez. Rinck, Lin, and Saka voted for the plan.

A dark, sad day for our kids.
