She's elegant ✨ and eloquent 💖 and so effervescent 🫧 #lookoutside
An illustration of Audrey the living vending machine, a large rectangular monster woman with 10 eyes across the front of her body, a huge mouth of sharp fangs, and multiple sets of stumpy feet. In this illustration she's adorned in a variety of equipment that changes her appearance: Her skin is bright orange, her feet have become cloven hooves, and she has 2 small devil horns on the top of her head thanks to the Demon Plating. Her eyes shine like high beam headlights, the biggest eye in the middle emitting the most light. While not visible, the Coffee Unit installed within her causes fire to spark in the back of her throat, and smoke drifts out from her mouth. The Spiked Bumper has been affixed across her front, and the white Mycelium Cloak has been draped across her back like a pulled back veil. An eye amulet dangles as it hangs around a few of her bottom teeth. In this illustration she's adorned in a variety of equipment that changes her appearance: She has the enormous Jousting Lance tied to the top of her head with large orange shrimp claws that have been tied to it with blue ropes; the pointed end of the claws dig into the sides of Audrey's head, keeping the lance stable. She also has the black Champion's Belt pulled around the top of her head like a headband. The blue Sea Cucumber Loafers have been put on two of her front feet, and on one of those feet the Shark Tooth Amulet has been slipped on like an anklet. While not visible, the Cooler Unit installed inside her causes ice to form on the edges of her teeth, and a cold mist wafts from her mouth. There are signs of condensation on the parts of her skin closest to the mist. In this illustration she's adorned in a variety of equipment that changes her appearance: Audrey wears the Cope Cage on top of her head, and it somewhat resembles an army hat. Around one of the corners of the cage the Odd Necklace has been draped around it. Audrey's legs have been lifted off the ground to slide into the sides of the Tank Tracks. She bites down on the Tank Gun that's been installed directly into her mouth. Instead of a normal gun, it bares a resemblance to the nose of a star-nosed mole, (aka the gun used by Trench Digger), and an organic pipe leads up into the top of the mouth where cans are dispensed. While not visible, the Carbonator that has been installed causes a burst of bubbles to exit the Tank Gun like smoke. In this way Audrey is meant to look like she's chewing on a big cigar. In this illustration she's adorned in a variety of equipment that changes her appearance: Audrey's typically red body has been completely repainted to be a bright shiny Chrome Finish that reflects blue and red light around her body. A human-sized pair of Headphones have been squeezed onto the top left corner of her head. The Shadow Ring has been hung on one of the teeth that line her coin slot/vending machine key spot, and the twisting magical Shadow Cloak has been draped over the spot that'd be considered her "shoulders", ie the spot before her legs start. On all of her feet she's been fitted with a full set of Quad Wheels affixed to steel rollerblade shoes with red straps. She looks especially pleased with this set up, smiling a big lopsided grin.

for your consideration: Audrey pet walking service :) someone tough and sturdy who's willing to handle pets who are much harder to corral in a post-visitor world... and probably shouldn't be left alone when their owners are busy with any multitude of things

#lookoutside #lookoutsidespoilers
A colored sketch of Audrey the vending machine walking a group of 4 odd/cursed pets down the sidewalk. Audrey, the large red machine with 10 eyes and huge teeth, has a variety of legs sporting different bracelets like a (war) dog tag, a friendship bracelet, a string of teeth, a spiked arm band, and a pink ribbon. In one of her foremost limbs she has a hold of all the pets's leashes. Her side has flyers taped up and down the metal, including one featuring herself and detatchable number slips to message her with. The pets include: a pink cat with multiple limbs/eyes/tails, a blue and pink slug-like creature with electricity spiking around its eye stalks, a green reptilian beast with no eyes flying with dragonfly wings, and a single detatched eyeball floating with its collar hovering around it. The city behind her is drawn in abstract with various mutated beings emerging from/swirling around the skyline.

not only does he have to experience the horrors but he has to do it while i afflict him with this #lookoutside
A sketch of Sam sipping coffee in his apartment while watching Audrey and some of the kids over by the couch. Rat Child is poised on top of Audrey's head while Joel & Sophie are asleep. Sam thinks, "Audrey's looking a lot more comfortable after a few days here." Sam's thought continues, "She looks cute like this..." There's sfx for a Steam ping, and a fake achievement pops up in the lower right corner. "Monsterfucker: I mean what'd you expect, dude", with the icon of a heart surrounded by jagged teeth. Sam looks down at the ui, blushing with confusion/concern as he wonders, "What. HEY. HEY???" This completely distracts him from the background where Rat Child is mid-pounce about to tackle the sleeping kids, much to Audrey's alarm.

new party member ❌
new baby crib ✅
A sketch comic of Sam getting Sophie to bed on his couch. Audrey the vending machine is asleep by the wall, and the Rat Baby (named Lefty in this continuity), toddles toward her. Sophie sleepily mumbles, "I don't wanna... go to bed..." Sam says, "Sure you don't" while pulling a blanket over her. Lefty paws at the drink dispenser tray, Audrey's toothy mouth, and sniffs at her. She is sound asleep. Audrey is woken up suddenly as Lefty starts crawling into the tray. Audrey's numerous eyes are caught between expressions of concern and shock. Audrey worriedly paws at her face with her feet, unable to reach inside her mouth to grab Lefty. Several sets of eyes to the left stare at Sam in a panic. Sam watches her, unable to respond to any of her thoughts. The other eyes are looking down at the tray with concern. Audrey, all thinking: "Sam! A little help here?!" "This is your... kid? Rat baby? Lefty??" "Heeey little guy! Lefty, please go! GET OUTTA THERE!" "Maybe I could ask Sam to move him?" "Or... can this kid read yet??" Audrey imagines one of her blank cans hitting Lefty right on the head and he cries. "WAIT. NO. BAD IDEA." Audrey's body slumps forward slightly with a creak as she sighs. Baby Lefty has been left alone to take a nap in that drink tray. Lefty the rat baby sound asleep in the dark interior of Audrey's drink dispenser tray/mouth. Lefty has a stuffed rabbit he's using as a pillow and a blanket clutched in several paws. Audrey's mouth is somewhat organic and light only gets in through the cracks between her closed teeth.

#lookoutside
Sketches of Sam, Dan, and Audrey from Look Outside. Audrey is a walking monsterous vending machine, with many eyes and sharp teeth where the drinks get dispensed. Sam and Dan are normal guys, Sam is missing his left arm. To the top left are various Audreys, and the bottom left has Sam reaching into her mouth to get soda. He's thinking "Don't make this weird don't make this weird" and thinking the image of hands getting caught in gears. To the right is a comic between Sam and Dan. Sam counts his change in his hand, mumbling, "25... 10, 5... 35? hmm" Dan from behind asks, "Are you planning to buy something useful or go see your weird soda girl?" Sam looks back at Dan with an annoyed expression. "Talking to Audrey IS useful!" Dan sneers, "Ksh -- sure, when you ask about shit that's not her dayjob??" Dan turns toward his phone, conspiratorially whispering to his chat, "lmao chat he's such a simp." Sam cluches the coins in his hands, offended. He yells, "NO I'M NOT?! DON'T SAY THAT." Sam talking to Audrey. He rubs his one hand on his neck, looking away awkwardly. Sam says, "Hey, so, I'm all out of change from before. So I know you can't respond directly... But I hope you like it up here." Sam smiles at her. "You've been very nice and, I guess, I'm glad I could pay it forward." A close up shows some of Audrey's eyes looking at Sam's hand. Sam says, "If there's anything you need, I-" Audrey pushes her face toward his hand. Sam, "Oh!" Sam keeps his hand on Audrey, and she goes "vrrrr" like the whine of a typical vending machine. Sam, "You like that?" Sam, thinking, "She started whirring louder..." Sam leans in to give Audrey a side hug. She's resting her legs, sitting on the floor with her eyes closed as she continues to hum. Sam, "Yeah, ok! This works. I'm glad you're here."

Sketches of Sam sitting beside Audrey. Sam: "I hope I'm not talking your ear off" A can thunks into the dispenser. Audrey knows it says [I have a massive crush on you]. She thinks "Oh that's too much I can't let him read that." Audrey scampers away. Sam goes, "O-oh - ok! You need space I get it--" Audrey falls face forward with a loud "metal pipe mp3" noise. Sam immediately runs over going, "Ah shit" Sam kissing Audrey under the eye, approximately the face/cheek area. Audrey blushes, some eyes shocked others looking away shyly. Audrey looking down shyly with Sam in front of her. Can: [I wish I could kiss you back :(] Sam: "We'll figure something out, I'm sure."

they are cute... look at my ship boy #lookoutside
A sketch comic of Audrey and Sam, feat Dan and Ernest. The four of them have just narrowly survived a battle, bloody bruised and in Dan's case passed out. Sam: "O-okay... the close calls never stop being scary... ooooh god..." Sam puts his fully loaded backpack down, looking toward Ernest. Sam: "If you could help Dan?" Ernest: "Sure thing." Sam then takes a cloth over to Audrey, who has a particularly large and bloody series of cuts across her face, under her eyes. Sam has a bleeding cut on the side of his temple, but elects to help clean up Audrey first. Sam: "This'll sting, sorry." Audrey looks at him, tired, concerned, silently thinking: "Take care of yourself first, you dummy... I can bleed way longer than you can." Audrey's mouth tilts up in a smile as some eyes close. She lets herself enjoy the calm moment as Sam cleans her wounds, "This is nice though..." Her storage door slightly squeaks open, a tendril peaking out. Sam looks up toward Audrey, unaware of the tendril creeping toward his face. His rag is soaked in Audrey's blood. Sam: "That's everything I can reach. I'll go grab--?" The tendril gently swipes at the cut on Sam's face, alerting him to its presence. The two of them stand there in a moment of silence, unmoving. Audrey then quickly slams herself shut in embarrassment and points all of her eyes away from Sam. Sam: "Y-you don't have to be embarrassed!!" Sam pokes at his own wound. Sam: "Yikes, I didn't notice I was bleeding there." Sam walks over to Dan (awake now) and Ernest to get to his bag. Audrey keeps looking away from him. Sam: "I - uh - I'll get us both bandages, k Audrey?" Dan and Ernest stare at them, Dan being especially curious eyes emoji at the exchange. Later that night, Audrey and Sam in seperate rooms are kept awake at the thought of Audrey's tendril staying on Sam's face, carressing it while he leans into the touch. The next morning Audrey meets with Sam, the both of them slightly flustered but happy to see each other. Sam waves, "Hey, mornin! How'd you sleep?" Audrey's door opens wider than before, and she extends a tendril which is met by Sam grabbing hold of it. Sam: "Oh! Hi! Feeling bold this morning aren't we?" At the comment Audrey blushes and slams shut again, thinking "DON'T POINT IT OUT!!" Sam apologetically lifts his hand back, "Didn't mean to tease!! You can, um, it's fine to open up if you need to." The rest of the sketches are disconnected tangents. Audrey blushes miserably, lets splayed out on the floor. Thinking "I can't seriously have a crush on the first guy who was nice to be after all this happened... that's pathetic girl get it togetherrrrrr" Sam has the wikipedia page for Objectum open. Wide eyed and blushing he thinks, "fuck fuck shit god damn it." Sam has a hold of one of Audrey's feet. She looks down at him, flustered. Thinking, "He's holding my hand... kind of......" Lastly, a sketch of Sam examining Audrey's back with the note from Mutt, and an extra little doodle of Audrey looking concerned.

where's the "im delighted to see your many cute eyes" dialogue option #lookoutside
Sketches of Audrey interacting with Sam. At the top is Sam examining the pattern on the front of Audrey's vending machine body. She blinks, exposing her natural eyes, and then the both of them blush and look away from each other. Sam, now realizing he was just staring intensely into her eyes, thinks "OOPS." At the bottom are sketches of Audrey's monsterous form, and a comic showing when Sam finds her asleep on Floor 1. As she's sleeping, Sam and Joel are far away in the hallway. Sam asks Joel, "You want a juice box, buddy?" Joel replies, "Uhh sure. Could... you grab it?" Sam and Joel draw closer, catching Audrey's attention and startling her awake. Sam, "Hey Au...drey?" Joel EEPS and hides behind Sam. Audrey panics, thinking "shit oh no oh no oh no". Audrey shifts back into her innocuous machine apperance with creaks and groans. Some of her still visible eyes are looking down in shame. Sam recieves her soda can with the hastily scrawled apology from the game. Then he tells Audrey, "Don't worry, you didn't freak me out."

blood

my lovely wife she used to eat rats #lookoutside
Various sketches of Audrey the living vending machine. Top row shows her and Sam in a calm moment, Audrey crying from all her eyes, and Audrey freaking out thinking "it's just a bad dream it's just a bad dream it's just a nightmare, go away stop stop stop disappear..." She curls in on herself and takes on her "normal" vending machine apperance, unintentionally, as shown by her last thought being a confused "....???". Bottom row shows Audrey in a feral/animalistic type of frenzy biting down on rats and getting blood everywhere. She tries to bite Ernest, who stumbles back, and Colonel Squeakums slashes up her eyes badly. After they run away into the next hallway Audrey regains some composure. Bloody and winded, she tries to clean the blood off by scraping her front against the wall. "Is this getting anything? bet it's worse." another look at her face with the blood smeared to one side confirms it did not help.

CW: body horror, Look Outside spoilers!

Finally considering this dang thing Done. Post-Promise ending but I'll otherwise leave the story of this painting up to interpretation. I like to think some nature persisted. Some trees have teeth, but life goes on. There's beauty in it...

#lookoutside #art
A big digital painting featuring a what-if post-ending scene of the game Look Outside. Sam, Lyle, Rat Child, Joel, and Sophie are all out in the forest. Sam is chatting with Lyle, Joel is pointing at teeth on a fallen log. In the background a scary but benign tentacle creature lurks.

The Mask ending in Look Outside is so interesting and still somewhat mysterious in terms of lore and implications. 2nd best only behind the Promise ending. Also, this is my first time making a fandom edit, or any artistic medium honestly. #LookOutside
