The chain tensioner needs some work. It was actually missing some pieces inside the plunger, meaning she's been running like this the entire time.

Well it turns out I fucked up (which should be a surprise to no one).
The small side pistons I got are 0.3mm too small so they leak, and the drivers side pistons were equally corroded as the passenger one, even with intact seals.
