Don't look to close, the place is a bit of a mess rn xD

But I love what this old Philips monitor looks like

Moderate success! Two Philips P2500 PSUs got sacrificed in the process of making one boot to ROM, but that totally worked! And the Philips monitor works too!

45+ old electronics struggle a bit when coming back to life. The next days/weeks will be PSU repair...

Finally pulled apart one of the other P2500's and as expected this one has the secondary CPU card!

ROM dump time ❤️

I have put online the source and first usable build of the Philips P2500/P2000B #emulator, including ROMs and disk images - ready to play with.

See notes in 'Releases' for a quick 'how to run', or Readme for all the details.

Adding some nice debugging tools to the P2500/P2000B emulator!

Time for some gaming! The P2000B/P2500 emulator succesfully boots CP/M and plays Microsoft BASIC games!

My Philips P2000B/P2500 emulator still has some font rendering issues but it manages to boot into CP/M!

@hmblank.bsky.social I noticed on your website that you own a Philips P2500! Did you ever find more documentation or manuals? I happen to have a few that I've been working on reverse engineering (including tracing PCBs, dumping ROMs, building an emulator, etc) and documenting. Would love to chat!

Gotta have my 3D Objects

Managed to make the P2000B/P2500 CPU card ROM boot in an emulator that I've been trying to build to the point that it shows this. Long road to go, but it finds the (emulated) floppy controller and tries to boot from it.

I've extracted the font ROM from a Philips P2000B / P2500 computer. The ROMs itself and the font as an OTF can be downloaded from my website: noxiouspl.uk/old_computer...
