First page of a five-page comic. The first panel features Yusuke in his summer uniform, standing beneath the awning of Leblanc while a torrential downpour overtakes the scene. Behind him, the wall lantern illuminates the store sign which reads "Closed". Yusuke thinks to himself, "So much for seeking respite at Leblanc." The second panel depicts a close up of Yusuke's eyes as he makes a downcast expression. He continues his thought: "How disappointing." In the third panel, he sighs and laments his circumtances. "I don't have the money to spare on another umbrella." he thinks, as someone in the distance says "Hey" in a failed attempt to catch his attention. "Though, I'm already wet, so it makes little difference-" "What're you standin’ outside for, Yusuke?" a voice interrupts his thoughts. Yusuke turns his head toward the voice in the fourth panel.

Second page of five. From over Yusuke's shoulder, we his perspective as he watches Ryuji approaching from across the street with an umbrella held loosely over his shoulder. "Damn, LeBlanc's closed?!" he says with a perplexed expression, "Looks like we both got our plans screwed over by this weather!" The second panel shows us just the tops of their heads as they enter into conversation. "Lemme guess, no money for an umbrella?" Ryuji asks. "...Perhaps I'll call you the 'third detective prince'." Yusuke retorts dryly. "Oh, bite me!" Ryuji shoots back. Third page of five. In the first panel, Ryuji gazes off to the side with a bashful smile on his face. "Well, if you ain't busy..." he starts, then looks at Yusuke with a smile so bright that beams of light fill the second panel, "...wanna hang out with me?" In the thrid panel, Yusuke is bombarded with small sparkles and a ray of light as Ryuji excitedly says, "Let's go eat! Ramen! Ramen!". Taken aback, Yusuke replies with a wobbly "A-alright..." "...Is he always this way?" Yusuke thinks. The final panel is a close shot of Ryuji grabbing Yusuke by the wrist, prompting more thoughts from Yusuke: "Appearing out of the blue, with little regard for propriety." "Meddlesome." "Indelicate." "Yet somehow, I find myself taken with his light."

It's more like-" Final page. The background is almost entirely black, and a lightning bolt pierces the darkness from above. In the center of the page, Ryuji pulls Yusuke under his umbrella. With his arm slung over Yusuke's shoulder, their faces are close and they are walking away from the viewer. Rain continues to fall in the distance.
