The OHRIGAME project will sample chicken meat imported from South-East Asia and hospital-grade food in the UK to evaluate the risk of that antimicrobial drug residues and #AMR genes could pose to clinical populations of patients at risk of gut bacteria dysregulation #microbiome
April 1, 2026 at 8:11 AM
Our objectives in Vietnam:
-Evaluate #AMR in chicken gut
-ID reasons for high level of drugs in meat, eggs, chicken feed and water
-Relate to chicken AMR profiles (the same chickens)
-Use questionnaires to understand farmers’ motivations for under-reporting
-Alignment with Vietnamese NAP for AMR
